Our Veterans

Guadalupe has a proud history of its sons and daughters serving in the Armed Forces. Over 300 veterans, going back over 100 years, are buried on our grounds. Through coordination with the local American Legion, Post 371 and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 982, we hold various annual ceremonies to which the public are invited.

A tattered American flag flies over a cemetery, with a view of nearby buildings and a clear blue sky.

Our annual ceremonies:

  • May, Memorial Day
    Last Monday of May, 11am
  • November, Veterans Day
    Nov 11th, 11am
  • December, ‘Wreaths Across America’

Wreaths Across America

Image features the "Wreaths Across America" logo and a QR code. It promotes a mission of honoring veterans.

Our Cemetery District is a  proud participant in this nationwide program.  Wreaths Across America (WAA) is a national non-profit that coordinates the annual placement of wreaths on veterans’ graves to ensure no service member is forgotten. Its mission is expressed in three pillars: Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.
Link for more information and learn how to sponsor a wreath in our cemetery and/or sign up to be volunteer to hang wreaths on the specified date in December.
